Financial fears and lukewarm demand for US Treasury bonds pushed the dollar to the lowest level in two weeks against the Japanese yen today, in conjunction with the attempt of US President Donald Trump to pass a comprehensive bill for spending and reduce taxes in Congress.
The dollar fell to 143.27 yen in early trading in Asia, which is the weakest level since the seventh of May.
The euro settled in the latest transactions at $ 1.1330 after a height of 0.4 percent yesterday, and registered gains for the third session in a row.
The pound also settled at $ 1.3426.
The Swiss franc increased a little by 0.1 percent to 0.8245 against the dollar.
The price of the cryptocurrency “Bitcoin” in the latest trading rose 1.6 percent to 110049.82 dollars, after it reached earlier to the highest level at 110636.58 dollars.
