Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Health and Population, met with the Chairman of the Global Alliance for Vaccine and vaccinations, Jose Manuel Paroso, and a number of coalition representatives, to discuss the implementation of mechanisms that contribute to the expansion of the vaccine industry, on the sidelines of the WHO’s 78th work in Geneva.
The Minister of Health meets the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Global Alliance for Vaccine and Observations (Javi)
Dr. Hossam Abdel Ghaffar, the spokesperson for the Ministry of Health and Population, said in a statement a little while ago that the meeting targeted the exchange of ideas and visions on implementing policies that expand in promoting vaccine manufacturing in Egypt and African countries, as well as discussing to put mechanisms to expand intuitive vaccinations and primary health care services.
He continued that the two sides discussed cooperation to enhance expanded fortification programs, as well as exchange ideas to improve primary health care systems, and cooperation between Egypt and (Javi) was agreed for fair access to vaccinations on the African continent and the Middle East and North Africa region.
The meeting was attended by Dr. Amr Qandil, Deputy Minister of Health and Population, Dr. Sanya Nashtar, CEO of the Global Alliance for Vaccines and Vaccines (Javi), and Dr. Richard Mihaigo, director of program and strategic participation with the African Union and the Africa Center for Disease Control (Africa CDC).
