During the meeting, the strategic paths pursued by the Kingdom of Bahrain were reviewed in combating the crime of trafficking in persons, based on a comprehensive national vision based on preserving human dignity, consolidating the principles of justice and transparency, as well as the pioneering initiatives launched by the Kingdom in this context, including the establishment of the National Committee to Combat Trafficking Persons, Activating an integrated system for protection and assistance, and embodying human rights principles in legislation And national practices.
The concrete progress achieved by the Kingdom of Bahrain in this file, which was reflected in its classification within the first category in the US State Department report on trafficking for persons for the seventh year in a row, which is an international testimony to the Kingdom’s qualitative institutional and legislative reforms.
For its part, Baroneh Theresa May praised the advanced Bahraini efforts, expressing her appreciation for the concrete achievements on the ground, stressing the importance of strengthening dialogue channels and exchanging experiences between countries, especially in light of the complex and cross -border nature of this crime, which requires a collective response and effective partnerships based on the principles of joint responsibility and institutional integrity.
