D. Sorour calls for supporting the digital card project for retirees and the elderly

Representative Dr. Munir Sorour confirmed that the House of Representatives is keen to support the leading projects of the Al -Hikma Association for retirees, especially the digital card project for retirees and the elderly, which completed about 80% of its technical structure.

This came during the meeting of the deputy d. Sorj by the vice president of the Al -Hikma Association for Retired Persons, Dr. Saeed Al -Sammak, and members of the association’s board of directors, where aspects of cooperation and joint coordination were discussed to serve the retirees sector.

The meeting reviewed the digital card project, which is the first of its kind in the region, as it is known as the retired and the elderly and provides it with many advantages, according to the agreements concluded with the various parties.

And d. Sorj in the roles of the association headed by His Excellency the team, Dr. Muhammad bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, as one of the tributaries of goodness in our Bahraini society since its foundation in 1989, expressing his admiration for its tireless activity to serve retired from all sectors of public, Al -Ahly and military.

During the meeting, a member of the banking association, Riyad Satter, spoke about the developments of the digital card, stressing that the association has made a great way at the technical level where the electronic application is ready, but there are still difficulties related to licenses, expressing the confidence of the association in the House of Representatives to support any amendments to the laws that help organize this type of charitable project.

For his part, the Vice -Chairman of the Board of Directors, Dr. Saeed Al -Sammak, welcomed the deputy Dr. Munir Sorour, confirming the association’s openness to cooperation with the House of Representatives, as a memorandum of understanding signed a few years ago with the House of Representatives.

And Dr. Al -Sammak admired the proposal for the desire submitted by the member of the House of Representatives, Dr. Munir Sorour regarding giving priority to retirees who have reached the age of 55 or more in housing services, noting that the association is in the process of deliberations to present its views regarding the proposal to the parliament.

Members of the Board of Directors participated in the meeting, and they are: Khalaf Hamad Porshid, Chairman of the Membership and Training Committee, Abdullah Hassan Al -Jib, Chairman of the Activities Committee, and Ali Jabr Al -Dossary.
