Engineer Abdel Muttalib Amara, Governor of Luxor, received a high -level delegation from the National Authority for Tunnels headed by Eng. Osama Zaki, the general consultant for the fast electric train project, to discuss the latest developments in implementing the train path within the governorate, in a move that reflects the escalating interest in enhancing the infrastructure and the modern transportation network in Upper Egypt.

During the meeting, the two sides reviewed the detailed plan for the train path, in addition to discussing the necessary industrial works, including linking the east of the province to the west, and the establishment of bridges for pedestrians to serve residential areas and facilitate traffic.
A civilized shift in the means of transportation
For his part, Eng. Osama Zaki stressed that the fast electric train project is one of the pillars of future development for transport in Egypt, explaining that the train represents a civilized shift that keeps pace with international standards, and provides modern and safe transportation for transporting passengers and goods.
He pointed out that the design speed of the fast train reaches 250 km per hour, while the speed of the center is 180 km and the goods train 120 km per hour, all of which will go on one line, in a modern integration model.
Zaki explained that the project is launched from the October Gardens area to integrate with the Green Line Ain Al -Sukhna – Matrouh, and it includes within the Luxor Governorate three main stations: Luxor, Armant, and Esna, where the path passes from the east at the eastern desert road, then crosses west to Abu Simbel on the western desert road.
Luxor Governor: The project is a new development artery
The Governor of Luxor affirmed the keenness of the preservation of providing all facilities to make the project a success, stressing that it represents a new artery for development that serves the urban and industrial areas, and contributes to advancing the investment wheel, and stimulating the trade and tourism movement in the governorate.
The meeting witnessed the attendance of a number of executive leaders from both sides, including Ahmed Hammad, Director of Luxor Sector at the National Authority for Tunnels, Eng. Ashraf Mandi, Director General of Property at the Ministry of Transport, along with the leaders of Luxor Governorate, including the engineer Hana Al -Arabi, Director of the Technical Office, Engineer Abdel -Masih Nabil, Director of the Urban Planning Department, Dr. Mohamed Rizk, President of the Center and City of Esna, and Engineer Ashraf Anwar, Director of Survey. Thabet, the official of the cleaning and beauty sector in Luxor.
