Dr. Mohamed Al -Tayeb, Deputy Minister of Health and Population, held a meeting to follow up on the latest developments in the two projects to automate dialysis services, and the project to develop sponsorship and nurseries, in implementation of the directives of Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Health and Population, with permanent work to develop and improve all services provided to patients.
Developing sponsorship and nurseries
Dr. Hossam Abdel Ghaffar, the official spokesman for the Ministry of Health and Population, said that the Deputy Minister stressed the importance of the project of mechanization of dialysis, in improving the services provided to patients, adding that the meeting discussed the current situation of the project, working to develop it and take what is necessary to ensure its sustainability.
He added that Dr. Mohamed Al -Tayeb directed that the development work includes all the operational aspects in terms of implementation and the availability of data in the part of the digital transformation, and the addition of the mechanized washing service to the unified system, with the necessity of setting a specific, detailed and comprehensive mechanism that measures the progress of the project, while ensuring its governance and sustainability, provided that the linking all the concerned parties to achieve the actual mechanization includes.
And “Abdul Ghaffar” continued that the second axis of the meeting discussed the project to develop sponsorship and nurseries, as the deputy minister stressed the need for a clear institutional work and the provision of all information and data related to all aspects of the project, financially, administratively and organizationally, with a specific and detailed mechanism for the project governance and measuring indicators of performance.
“Abdul Ghaffar” indicated that it was decided during the meeting to form a committee from the therapeutic sector, which includes all parties concerned with the project of mechanization of dialysis, and its tasks include setting a comprehensive mechanism for all aspects of work in the project, policies, procedures and work protocols, seeing previous recommendations and studying contract protocols.
And “Abdel Ghaffar” continued that with regard to the project to develop care, it was decided during the meeting to form a committee to study the project and discuss all aspects of (infrastructure – information structure – human powers – the operating system), and to update the current situation in full numbers and reports, and to put protocols and work evidence, with the unification of the operating mechanism in all sides.
“Abdul Ghaffar” pointed to the project of mechanization of dialysis, which was launched in January 2025, and achieves good results and is satisfied with the beneficiaries, adding that all steps to automate the sponsorship project are being completed, and it is scheduled to update and develop work policies.
And “Abdul Ghaffar” pointed out that Dr. Mohamed Al -Tayeb, Deputy Minister of Health and Population, concluded the meeting, with thanks and appreciation, to Dr. Ahmed Saafan, for his valuable efforts, sincere work, and his contributions to the service of the health sector during his period of assuming the position of assistant minister for hospital affairs.
The meeting was attended by Dr. Anwar Ismail, Assistant Minister for National Projects Affairs, Dr. Peter Wajih, Assistant Minister for Medical Affairs and Supervisor of the Medical Medicine Sector, Dr. Mohamed Abdel Wahab, the permanent agent, Dr. Mohamed Abdel -Hakim, Head of the Central Department for Therapeutic Affairs, Dr. Mohamed Ramadan, Head of the Central Administration for Financial and Administrative Affairs, a number of leaders of the therapeutic sector, and representatives of the concerned authorities.
