Dreams of 20 distinguished students in Bahrain, find an opportunity to verify on the ground .. This is what happens every year for a quarter of a century, through the Crown Prince program for international scholarships, which launched the twenty -sixth batch a few days ago and met by His Highness the Crown Prince to congratulate them.
I cannot imagine the feelings of these students or even their parents, and what this window on the future can be a radiance for beautiful days will come to them all, especially since the meeting of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa for the winners and their parents was not without the expressions of support and encouragement from His Highness.
I have read what some students who won international scholarships have written, which was published by the newspaper “Al -Watan” a few days ago, which expressed the leaving the feelings of these students and their gratitude for this great opportunity, and their emphasis on the need to return the favor to the homeland by serving it when the study and scholarship is completed, which confirms the principle of investment in man and it is an inherent principle in the reform project of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa May God protect and preserve him.
Although this program comes from the Crown Prince’s office, it is a true translation of one of the branches of this reform project, and in implementation of this principle, His Highness was able to create national cadres who studied in the best international universities to develop Bahrain’s capabilities in areas such as engineering, medicine, technology, science, and administration, working in the government sector, technology companies, banks and in scientific academies and entrepreneurship.
The funny thing about the group of students who spoke that most of them think about studying engineering of all kinds, which indicates the extent of change in ideas among young people and their awareness of the size of change in the dynamics of the labor market, and this comes from the scientific background of this generation who was chosen by the program from the excelling and those who have passed several tests and participated in lectures and workshops that polished their experiences and revealed to them the features of the future of employment during the next decade.
Another thing that caught my attention in the students ’talk is to emphasize the importance of perseverance and work. The opportunity to grant the study did not come easily, but it was the result of their achievement of strict requirements and standards, from academic excellence that the average participants should not be less than 95% and pass the English language tests and test their leadership capabilities. The fact that the leadership of our wise kingdom establishes that man is the focus of this country, it is important that the Bahraini be on the highest characteristics of progress, science and development, and that the world is accompanied by it and may precede it in many matters, and you will see our country more than the rich harvest in the next generation and successive generations.
