Gold prices have witnessed a decrease of more than 2% on Friday, heading towards the worst weekly performance since November, driven by the increasing demand for risk in the markets after the improvement of global economic expectations.

Gold in instant transactions decreased by 1.6% to $ 3188.25 an ounce, registering a weekly decrease of 4.1%. US gold futures fell 1.2% to $ 3187.2.

This decline is due to the improvement of confidence in the markets, supported by economic data indicating slowing inflation and increasing expectations by reducing interest rates by the Federal Reserve starting in September.

Other precious minerals also witnessed decreases, as silver fell 1.4% to 32.22 dollars an ounce, platinum 0.6% to 984.10 dollars, and Balladium 1.2% to 956.72 dollars, with expectations that the last two incurred weekly losses.
