Dar Al -Iftaa answered a question that was reported to her: What is the ruling on sacrificing birds? For some exporters are promoted to say that it is permissible to sacrifice the birds, and that some of the companions did this, so what is the validity of these words?
What is the ruling on sacrificing birds?
Al -Iftaa said on its website: It is not sufficient for the sacrifice except to be from cattle; They are: camels, cows, and sheep. And the opinion that it is permissible to sacrifice every animal that eats its flesh, a weak opinion, is not considered in the fatwa, and is contrary to the work of the stable nation. What was reported is that one of the companions said that it is permissible to sacrifice birds is incorrect; Because the text mentioned about it is not on its face, and if it is carried on its appearance, it is merely a jurisprudence of the companion, but it is contrary to what has been true of the Messenger of God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him and his family, so there is no argument in it.
She added: The sacrifice is a ritual ritual and a landmark of religion, and a year of confirmed Sunnah; The Almighty said:﴿ And we have made it for you from the rituals of God [الحج: 36]And the Almighty said:﴿ Separate your Lord and be sacrificed [الكوثر: 2]; Imam Al -Baidawi said in his “interpretation” (5/342, i. The Arab Heritage Revival House) said: [قد فُسِّرت الصلاةُ بصلاة العيد، والنحر بالتضحية] Ah.
And she continued: The two sheikhs narrated on the authority of Anas bin Malik, may God be pleased with him, “The Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him and his family, was sacrificing two rich, loaned, grateful, named, arrogant, and putting his leg on their plays.” And in the word: “Slaughtered them with his hand.”
