Nearly three decades have passed since their cinematic collaboration in the famous movie Jerry Maguire, the international star Tom Cruise and actor Cuba Goding Junior met in a moment affecting the red carpet of the 78th Cannes Film Festival, during the premiere of the new Cruz: Impossible The Final Reckoning.

The Cannes festival witnessed a surprise when the two stars met in front of the camera lenses, where they were drawn on their faces of amazement and joy, and the duo exchanged a warm greeting and embracing in a moment full of feelings, recovering the memories of joint work that brought them together in 1996, which achieved a wide public and critical success, and resulted in the victory of Goding Junior with an Oscar award as the best assistant actor, while he won Cruz Nomination for the Best Actor Award.
The duo appeared in their full elegance at the 2025 Cannes Festival, and they appeared to be affected by the reunification meeting, which brought back to the minds scenes of the movie that has become part of the history of American cinema.
It is noteworthy that Cruz existing also had previously participated in the 1992 legal drama movie, along with a group of stars such as Jacques Nicholson, Dimi Moore and Kevin Bacon.
On the other hand, Rene Zelliger, a Cruz partner in the Jerry Maguire Championship, still maintains a great appreciation for him, as she previously praised his professionalism and human generosity in the scenes of the work, during her speech winning the SAG Award in 2020 for her role in Judy.
Despite the legal challenges faced by Goding Junior in recent years, including accusations of harassment and the settlement of civil lawsuits, the actor confirms that his belief and support for his family helped him to overcome adversity, noting in a press statement during 2024 that “as long as he is passionate about what he does, the will of God will be fulfilled.”
