The two brothers Hanadi Matar Al -Anzi, a graduate of the diploma of peaceful coexistence offered by the King Hamad International Center for peaceful coexistence and tolerance, and her brother Amer Matar Al -Anzi, announced the development of an innovative smart system called Speechshield, in cooperation with the Nexgen Holding companies and Urbansoft, which is concerned with combating hate speech and enhancing the values of peaceful coexistence.
The regime aims to reduce the spread of hate speech, and to consolidate the culture of tolerance and coexistence, in line with the approach of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the monarch of the country, and the Kingdom of Bahrain, in promoting dialogue and peace between peoples.
The system works to monitor and analyze written and direct speeches, and identify verbal and implicit indicators of hatred, including indirect hints and purposes. It also issues immediate notifications to the concerned parties associated with it, and provides an accurate analysis of the level of hate speech, the target group, and the nature of the content.
The system range extends to include images and logos analysis to discover harmful or incitement symbols, with a proposal to reduce the negative impact.
It is worth noting that the system has been presented to a number of official authorities and civil society institutions in the Gulf Cooperation Council countries and the Arab world, as part of an expansion plan that includes global markets in the near future.
