The Ambassador of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques to Egypt, Saleh bin Eid Al -Husayni, met Dr. Ahmed Al -Tayeb, Sheikh of Al -Azhar, at the headquarters of Al -Azhar.

During the meeting, ways to enhance joint cooperation in the religious, scientific and cultural fields were discussed, and to review the joint efforts in spreading the moderate, moderate Islamic approach in the world. The meeting was attended by Deputy Ambassador Abdul Rahman bin Salem Al -Dahs, and the head of political affairs at the embassy, Talal bin Garm Allah Al -Ghamdi.
Earlier, the Grand Imam, Ahmed Al -Tayeb, the Sheikh of Al -Azhar Al -Sharif, during a telephone conversation yesterday, Wednesday, congratulated the fourteenth Pope Liu, on the occasion of his election as Pope of the Catholic Church.

The Sheikh of Al -Azhar, during the phone call, expressed his good wishes for the fourteenth Pope Liu, success in promoting peace and brotherhood in the world.
The religious symbols stressed the necessity of solidarity and intensifying efforts to end the wars and conflicts that our world suffers from, stressing their intention to complete the march of dialogue and humanitarian brotherhood in order to spread world peace.
He also dealt with talking about the tragic conditions in Gaza, Ukraine, Sudan, and other countries that suffer from the scourge of wars and conflicts.
The Sheikh of Al -Azhar and Pope Liu XIV stressed the necessity of ending wars, and all armed conflicts that claimed the lives of innocent people around the world.
