The Grand Imam, Dr. Ahmed Al -Tayeb, Sheikh of Al -Azhar Al -Sharif, congratulated Dr. Amani Abdullah Al -Sharif, the dean of the College of Pharmacy former Girls at Al -Azhar University, for her choice as a deputy to the Presidency of the African Union of the African Union, for a second term starting from 2025 to 2028 AD, and the renewal came during the elections of the Executive Council of the African Union, which was held on the sidelines of the February Summit in February 2025 AD.

For her part, Dr. Amani Al -Sharif expressed her gratitude for renewing confidence in it by the African continent, guiding this achievement for Sheikh Al -Azhar in appreciation of his continuous support to the people of the Al -Azhar Foundation, praising the pioneering role of Al -Azhar in strengthening African issues through its scientific and intellectual system, and enabling its cadres, stressing that this position represents an extension of the efforts of Al -Azhar in the consolidation of cooperation with countries The continent, based on its religious and scientific responsibilities towards Africa and its peoples.
Meanwhile, the Grand Imam, Dr. Ahmed Al -Tayeb, Sheikh of Al -Azhar Al -Sharif, honored the child Anas and his family, yesterday, Tuesday, during the meeting of the Supreme Council of Al -Azhar, in a humanitarian gesture that impressed and appreciated.
Dr. Ilham Shaheen, assistant professor and philosophy at Al -Azhar University, and the Assistant Secretary of the Islamic Research Academy for Summary Affairs, said in a post on her official Facebook page, that the child Anas sat the innocence of the children on the virtue of the imam, and before he was interested in the advancement after he realized the situation, he grabbed the Grand Imam with his hand, fixed him to the chair, then brought him the microphone and remained. Next to him, he supports him and plays on his back while praying for him.
Shaheen added that the Grand Imam said to the child: May God protect you, my son, praising the parental gesture presented by the imam, which reflects the spirit of Al -Azhar and his embrace of his children.
