Cairo 24 received a copy of the list of conditions and requirements for licenses of the professional league clubs in the new season, which on June 10 set a final date for the professional league clubs to fulfill the conditions and documents necessary to obtain the participation license in the tournament next season.
The Football Association set 10 thousand pounds, the value of the fees for applying for the license to participate in the Professional League Championship next season, 2025 – 2026.
Earlier, a source commented inside Football Association On what was reported recently regarding the intention of the Football Association’s board of directors to issue a decision to cancel the second division league championship, the Professional League, starting from the new season 2025-2026.
In statements to Cairo 24, the source confirmed that the Professional League Championship continues next season and will not be canceled, as some have recently reported.
The source added that the professional league championship proved its success in the current and past seasons, and proved that its technical return is strong in light of the great competitiveness that exists among most of the teams participating in it.
The source continued his speech by saying that the Football Association intends to create a new section in the league sections of the statute of the Football Association, as part of the amendments that will be made to the regulations in the emergency general assembly of the Jabaliya scheduled to be held on May 27.
He continued: The league sections will be increased to 5 sections starting from the new season instead of only 4 sections currently present, as the Professional League Championship will be the second division championship, while the second division league will be currently in the third section championship.
The source pointed out that the amendment of the league sections in the statute’s regulation comes to avoid any suspicion of violation due to the presence of two championships in the same section currently, including a rise and decline within the same section.
