Every day a new trend, a new gift, and a mass race towards the “common” thing as if it is a lifeline that we must stick to. You see long lines and reservations extended for days, only because a new restaurant opened its doors, or because a strange drink has invaded the “Tech Tok” application. Nobody asks about quality, price, or even logic. The important thing is to keep pace with the trend … even for one day!

From the last of the flames: “Slis” bread with cheese, and it has a pinch of Karak milk. A simple meal has an actual cost that does not exceed the dinar, but it is sold at twice the price as if it was a new invention.

No one complains, because the goal is no longer eating or enjoying, but rather taking an “Insta-friendly” image showing that you were there … at the right time … with “the right people”.

Repeat the same scene from a different angle is the goal. Karak plate, decorative cup, table angle, and appropriate lighting.

We are satiated with the phones with pictures, and the arrogance of vanity with moments is a digital “social presence”, then we go. And tomorrow? The crowd disappears, the doors are closed, and a new gift is born elsewhere.

The disaster is that many of these projects are not based on a long -term quality or vision, but rather a temporary wave. Restaurants and cafes open just to keep up with a shout, then closed after weeks because the gift is over.

As if the investment turned into bets on the mood of the social media.

On the other hand, the projects that created for themselves a stable identity succeed, and have built a relationship with the customer based on taste, service, and experience, not on flashes and pictures.

But the real problem is not in the owners of these projects, but we consumers.

We are the ones who create the bubble, blow into it, then complain about the prices. We are the one who takes the last thing in the pocket to buy “Karak for 15 dinars”, just to publish a picture and say: “We were here.”

The question remains: Is Karak at this price really worth? Or are we just running …

“With horses, chakra”?
