The Housing Committee in the House of Representatives, headed by Representative Mohamed Attia Al -Fayoumi, continues to hold its qualitative meetings, today, Monday, to discuss the draft law submitted by the government on the old rent.
According to the agenda of the Housing Committee, the meeting comes to listen to the opinions of representatives of tenants regarding the two draft laws submitted by the government, the first on the provisions related to the laws of renting places, and the second to amend some provisions of Law No. 4 of 1996 regarding the validity of the provisions of the civil law on the places that have ended or expire their lease contracts without anyone being left in.

Earlier, Mustafa Abdel Rahman, head of the old rental owners coalition, said that he attended the parliament session on Sunday, to discuss Old rent lawAnd describing the session as historical, explaining that it combined the owners of old rents and the deputies of the people, in a rare face -to -face meeting that was not repeated before.

Mustafa Abdel Rahman indicated, during a television intervention, that the session was launched at three o’clock in the afternoon, in the presence of the Housing Committee in the House of Representatives and the Minister of Parliamentary Affairs, and was opened with a speech delivered by Representative Attia Al -Fayoumi, Chairman of the Committee, saying: I thank the House of Representatives for providing this important opportunity, and I thank President Sisi and Dr. Mustafa Madbouly for moving this vital file.
