Japanese Prime Minister Shikiro Ishiba confirmed today, Sunday, his endeavor to cancel all customs duties on cars and commercial negotiations with the United States of America.

In a television interview, Ishiba said that the discussions began to be close to gradually and that Tokyo’s relationship with US President Donald Trump was amazing.
However, Ishiba said that the Washington agreement with London, which was announced on Thursday, which reduces exorbitant customs duties to British car exports while keeping a 10%basic tariff, is a model of commercial deals but we must aim to zero customs definitions.
Ishiba added that imposing high customs duties on car imports will increase the cost of cars on American consumers, and for the benefit of the American economy as well.
Trump said on Friday that the United States will maintain a 10% basic tariff for imports even after the conclusion of commercial deals, adding that there may be exemptions when countries provide important commercial conditions.
