The Minister of Culture accompanies his French counterpart on a tour of the Egyptian wing in the Venice Biennial for Architecture

Dr. Ahmed Fouad Hanu, Egyptian Minister of Culture, Rachida Dati, accompanied the French Minister of Culture, in a tour inside the Egyptian pavilion participating in the nineteenth session of the Venice International Biennial of Architecture, after their participation in the Biennial opening ceremony currently held in the Italian city of Venice.

They listened to a detailed explanation about the idea of ​​participating work and its goals, and the messages that the work team seeks to communicate through the design, which reflects a contemporary Egyptian vision that intersects with the Biennial topic for this year.

The French Minister of Culture expressed her admiration for the Egyptian pavilion, praising the distinctive architectural and intellectual proposal, and what he carries from a deep artistic dimension that reflects a contemporary vision that deserves appreciation. She stressed the importance of such posts in promoting cultural exchange between the two countries, and the role of architecture as a means of civilized dialogue and human rapprochement.

While the Egyptian Minister of Culture stressed that the Egyptian participation in international forums, especially the Venice Biennale, represents a prominent platform to express the features of the Egyptian cultural and architectural identity in a global context, and contribute to promoting cultural dialogue with the world. He stressed the importance of historical and cultural relations between Egypt and France, while joint keenness to develop cooperation in the areas of thought, art and architecture.

Dr. Ahmed Fouad Hanu was also keen to visit the sisterly wing of the State of Qatar in the Biennali, and congratulated the Sheikha Al -Mayasa bint Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, on the occasion of the opening of the pavilion, which reflects an aspect of the features of the Qatari cultural and artistic identity.

The Minister pointed out the importance of the participation of Arab wings in this prominent international forum, because of the opportunity it represents to enhance the Arab cultural presence, and to express the richness and diversity of architectural and artistic creativity in the Arab world.
