The data issued by the Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics revealed today, Thursday, May 8, 2025, to the increase in the value of Egyptian exports to Russia to record $ 607 million during the year 2024, compared to 524 million dollars during the year 2023, an increase of 15.8%, and the value of Egyptian imports from Russia reached 6 billion dollars during the year 2024 compared to 5 billion dollars during the year 2023, an increase of 19.3%.
The data of the agency also revealed that the value of the trade exchange between Egypt and Russia increased to reach 6.6 billion dollars during the year 2024 compared to 5.6 billion dollars during the year 2023, an increase of 18.9%.
The most important commodity groups issued by Egypt to Russia during the year 2024
1. Fruits and fruits of $ 419 million.
2. Vegetables worth $ 111 million.
3. Drain and its artifacts worth $ 17 million.
4. Oily pills and fruits of $ 13 million.
5. Greens and fruits of $ 10 million.
The most important commodity groups imported by Egypt from Russia during the year 2024
1. Pills worth $ 3.1 billion.
2. Iron and its models worth $ 1.3 billion.
3. Vegetable and animal oils and oils worth $ 526 million.
4. Wood, its models and wooden charcoal worth $ 262 million.
5. Fuel and mineral oils worth $ 205 million.
The value of Russian investments in Egypt recorded $ 91.5 million during the fiscal year 2023-24 compared to 141.2 million dollars during the year 2022-23, while Egyptian investments in Russia amounted to $ 29.8 million during the fiscal year 2023-24 compared to 18.6 million dollars during the fiscal year 2022–23.
The value of the transfers of Egyptians working in Russia reached 1.9 million dollars during the fiscal year 2023-24, in exchange for 14.9 million dollars during the fiscal year 2022-23, while the value of the remittances of Russians working in Egypt amounted to 71 thousand dollars during the fiscal year 2023-24 compared to 138 thousand dollars during the fiscal year 2022-23.
The number of Egyptians in the State of Russia, according to the estimates of the mission, reached 40 thousand Egyptians until the end of 2023.
In this regard, President Abdel Fattah El -Sisi will go today to the Russian capital, Moscow, to participate in the celebrations of the Victory Day tomorrow, May 9, at the invitation of Russian President Vladimir Putin.
