The Ministry of Health and Population decided to withdraw the chicken broth packages “Chef Secret”, which bears the date of the production of March 2025, after the discovery of the “Sudan 1” chromosome in one of the samples, a substance that is prohibited from using internationally due to its severe damage to human health.

The ministry said, in an official letter, addressed to the directorates of health affairs, Cairo 24 obtained a copy of it, that the sample that was analyzed in the central laboratories has proven that it was not suitable for human consumption, because it violated Ministerial Resolution No. 4 of 2020, and contains a colored material and is not authorized to use it in food products.
The health stressed the need to control the chicken chicken skeletin skeletin, which bears the same date of production without the need to withdraw new samples, while taking legal measures against any party that trades the product warning from it.
The Ministry also directed food monitors with temporary reservation on any other packages of the chicken Chef Secret chicken from the same product with a different production date, with samples withdrawn from them to analyze them and ensure their conformity with technical specifications, in preparation for issuing a decision to release it or not according to the result of the analysis.
The Ministry stressed the need for urgent dealing with the instructions, due to the possible threat to public health, calling for detailed field reports regarding the procedures in each governorate.
Intensive campaigns to control food chains in the governorates
During the last April, after resolving the crisis of the chain of shops in Ben and Karam al -Sham, the Ministry of Health and Population directed the directorates of health affairs to conduct enlarged inspection campaigns under the name “food chains emergency” to intensify control of chains and food installations that have branches in other governorates, after the meeting of Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Health and Population with the National Food Safety Authority.
The instructions included – Cairo 24 obtained – the launch of an enlarged inspection campaign at the level of the governorates of the Republic and the assignment of the heads of health offices at the level of the Republic to limit the food chains in their work departments, and to send a comprehensive daily statement that includes detailed data supported by pictures and documents, according to the approved model from the ministry.
The Ministry stressed that in the event of withdrawing samples from any facility within the campaign, the phrase “food chains emergency emergency” must be written on Ornik to send samples to the competent laboratories, in preparation for taking legal measures against violators.
The campaign aims to pass on all the food activities that apply to the “food chain” character, to ensure its commitment to health requirements, quality and safety of the products offered to citizens.
