President Abdel Fattah El -Sisi met today, with Dr. Mustafa Madbouly, Prime Minister, Mr. Hassan Abdullah, Governor of the Central Bank, and Ahmed Kajuk, Minister of Finance.
President Sisi meets with the Prime Minister and the Governor of the Central Bank
The spokesperson for the presidency of the Republic stated that during the meeting, the President briefed the indicators of the total economy, economic and structural reforms and measures that the government is working to implement in the framework of efforts to improve economic and financial indicators, through sectoral programs that cover various economic activities, while continuing efforts to enhance and expand social protection programs directed to the first categories of care.
Ambassador Mohamed El -Shennawi, the spokesperson, pointed out that during the meeting, the developments of the implementation of the economic reform program, increased activities and productive sectors, were also reviewed and revitalized the economic sectors in a way that achieves the best return to the state, contributes to containing inflationary pressures, encouraging the private sector to advance economic growth and employment, and attract more local and foreign investment flows.
The spokesperson pointed out that during the meeting, the president stressed the need to continue and enhance harmony between the financial and monetary policies, the consistency of the two policies with the economic vision of the state, the focus on increasing levels of foreign exchange reserves, meeting the financing needs necessary to enhance development efforts, and work to reduce the debt of budgets and serve them in a sustainable and strong way, and work to reduce external debt.
