The Bahrain Handball Team opened its career in the tenth Arab Cup championship with an exciting victory over its Iraqi counterpart, 28-26, yesterday, in the championship competitions held in Kuwait until May 11th.
The match witnessed a strong competition in the Sheikh Saad Al-Abdullah complex hall, where Bahrain advanced in the first half 15-13, before the match was decided in the second half thanks to the performance of its distinguished players. Hassan Mirza, the Bahraini national team player, won the award for the best player in the match.
It is expected that the Bahraini team will meet in the second confrontation with its Egyptian counterpart, tomorrow, at five in the evening, as it looks forward to winning and resolving its qualification to the second round of the tournament.
