Frozen poultry is continuing with consumer complexes at 125 pounds instead of 135 per kilo

Dr. Sherif Farouk, Minister of Supply and Internal Trade, stated that the ministry continues its efforts to provide basic commodities for citizens at reduced prices, as the Holding Company for Food Industries continues to pump large quantities of frozen poultry into consumer complexes at the level of the Republic.

Dr. Sherif Farouk explained that the price of a kilo of frozen poultry in consumer complexes was reduced to 125 pounds instead of 135 pounds, in the context of the state’s tendency to alleviate the shoulders of citizens and provide food alternatives at reasonable prices compared to free markets.

Dr. Sharif Farouk also confirmed thatConsumer complexes work highly efficiently to provide all food commodities, pointing to the continued daily follow -up to ensure the stability of prices and the availability of the required quantities.

In a related context, Dr. Sharif Farouk stressed that the Ministry of Supply and Internal Trade continues to implement its policy aimed at forming a large strategic stock of basic food commodities, meat and poultry to achieve balance in the markets, and to provide safe food at fair prices for citizens.

On the other hand, Dr. Sherif Farouk, Minister of Supply and Internal Trade, held a meeting with the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Qaha Food Company, in the framework of the periodic meetings that he holds with the companies affiliated with the Holding Company for Food Industries, to follow up the availability of goods and market stability.

This came in the presence of Major General Walid Abu Al -Majd, Deputy Minister and Dr. Alaa Nagy, President of the Holding Company for Food Industries, Ahmed Kamal, Minister of Minister and official spokesman for the ministry, and Mohamed Abdo Mujahid, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Qaha Food Company.

During the meeting, the Minister discussed the mechanisms of promoting supply of goods and company products in local markets, in addition to the company’s plans to expand its export products to foreign markets, while ensuring the stability of prices and preventing any practices that may harm consumers, stressing the Ministry’s commitment to follow -up markets and providing goods with high quality and prices that suit all citizens, stressing the importance of cooperation with national entities.
