The Ministry of Information, represented by the Bahrain Sports Channel, launched a unique project, and the first of its kind in the Kingdom under the name “Comment Star”, where the project aims to discover the talents of sports comment, to graduate a group of prominent commentators who serve the sports sector in various games.
This comes within the initiatives of the creators laboratory and the media talent award in the ministry, which aims to discover young media talents, and in cooperation with the Tamouh Sports Management Company and the Gulf University.
The Minister of Information, Dr. Ramzan Al -Nuaimi, stressed that this qualitative initiative reflects the ministry’s keenness to support Bahraini youth and empower them in various media fields, noting that the ministry is keen to open new horizons for young national competencies, and enable it to refine its skills and highlight its creative energies in the sports media field, especially in light of the comprehensive sporting renaissance in Bahrain thanks to the high support it enjoys from His Majesty King The most country, with the support of His Royal Highness the Crown Prince, Prime Minister.
The minister expressed his wishes that the initiative would contribute to showing distinguished levels in the field of sports comment that reflects the bright face of Bahraini youth, and in the provision of the sports media scene with talented national cadres, wishing all the participants success.
For his part, the director of the Sports Channel Department at the Ministry of Information, Ali Radhi, stressed that “the star of the comment” comes in the context of the pioneering media initiatives of the creators laboratory and the Ministry’s media talent award at the directives of the Minister of Information, with the aim of exploring and supporting the young Bahraini media talents in various fields, including sports media, reflecting the advanced position that the sports sector in the Kingdom has reached.
He explained, “The Bahrain Sports Channel will harness all its technical and human experiences and capabilities to support the contestants and show the competition in the best possible way, because we are sure that the Bahraini youth have the ability to be creative in all fields.”
The Chairman of the Board of Directors of Tamouh Sports Management Company, Mohammed bin Jalal, valued the relevant efforts made by the Minister of Information in developing visible content on all Bahrain TV channels, through development programs and the continuous modernization policy to keep pace with various events, whether sports or others, in a move that reflects the serious initiatives of the Ministry in providing the finest services to the public.
He praised the striking efforts offered by the Gulf University headed by Dr. Muhannad Al -Mashhadani, the important shift achieved in the field of distinguished education, and strategic contributions, through its positive interaction and care for various events, and the presentation of programs that target young people of both sexes, expressing his appreciation for the university’s targeted projects that made it at the forefront of global developed universities.
Bin Jalal said: “The company’s sponsorship of the competition comes within our goals and our keenness to develop many aspects in the sports sector, and our permanent endeavor to contribute to enriching the sports movement in it, and creating a strong base in the field of sports suspension based on efficiency and higher ambition, as it is one of the most important important areas,” noting that “ambition” will continue to provide quality initiatives in the service of the sports audience at home and abroad.
Bin Jalal stressed the importance of partnership with the ministry represented in the Bahrain Sports Channel, as well as with the Gulf University, indicating that it is considered a fundamental step, and a positive point in the march of the ambitious company that continued its permanent giving through many fruitful partnerships, pointing out that they will spare no effort for the success of this competition, and this huge project that serves the sports movement in the Kingdom.
The head of the academic programs and partnerships at Tamouh Abeer Al -Dossary Company revealed the details of the competition.
She said: “Today will be launched and the official announcement of the competition through social media in local newspapers and sports accounts, as well as through the organizers and sponsors, provided that the registration of the participants’ requests will be started through an official link that will be presented until the 20th of this month and then the preparation will be prepared to start registration of the episodes of the competition and their final approval during the next stage, provided that its official presentation is started starting from next September, with the date of the closing episode and the selection of the winners.
She added that 10 full and separate episodes of the competition will be recorded for the duration of each episode 20 minutes, provided that these episodes are evaluated through a specialized committee that includes a media presence, a sports commentator, and a specialized academic.
Al -Dossary said: “There are many incentives adopted by the organizing and sponsoring parties for the competition by granting the first -place winner the opportunity to join the comment on the Bahrain Sports Channel, with a financial prize from Tamouh Company, in addition to a full scholarship provided by the Gulf University.
She explained that the winners of the first and second positions will receive two financial prizes, while subjecting them to extensive and specialized training courses in the field of comment, stressing that the competition will have a great impact in enriching the sports field by finding a group of accompaniment commentators who are waiting for the opportunity to appear.
