The Supreme Council for Women is considered one of the most official institutions to achieve the goals that have been set for it, and this is due to the hard work and the insistence on completion. Since the council was established more than twenty years ago, it is pushing the Bahraini woman to be an appropriate and even essential option in employment, the rise of professional peace, and hold positions, and it also encourages her scientific superiority and supports him.
This is in addition to his endeavor to increase the legislation that protects women, whether at the level of work or family, which resulted in the issuance of the Family Law on July 19, 2017, which is not different that there is multiple privileges within women.
A few days ago, most of the success of the council, which is sponsored and followed directly by Her Royal Highness Princess Sabika bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, is the presumption of the king of the country, the head of the Supreme Council for Women, may God protect her in superiority over himself and overcome his goals.
After two decades of unlimited support and empowerment of Bahraini women, the Council announced the national plan 2025-2026, which came under the title “Bahraini women from empowerment to progress and strive for leadership”
It is a plan that relied on securing family stability for women, maintaining women’s presence in leadership positions, enhancing the economic status of women, and strengthening everything related to women’s health. We note that the goal of “empowerment” has been dispensed with the new plan, and the focus has become on goals such as “insurance” and “strengthening”, and it is of course symbolizing to maintain and preserve the high position and the superiority that women have reached.
The indicators for the past year to confirm that the situation of women in an ascending line in most fields, for example, constitutes 60 % of government sector employees, bypassing men by 20 % , which is a vast difference that may continue to increase. On this large percentage for the benefit of women in the government sector, one of the colleagues asked about the reasons, during the press conference held by the Council to announce its plan for the next two years, so the response came from the council officials that the superiority of the numerical women in government jobs is one of its reasons is her success in the educational attainment that qualifies them to obtain more governmental job opportunities, stressing that the next goal is to seek the access of women to higher leadership positions in a way.
For your information, women today assume 50 % of executive jobs in the government sector (directors and heads of departments).
The woman’s superiority is also evident in the medical field, as doctors make up 66 % of the total Bahrainis working in the field of medicine. The nurses make up 83 % of the total Bahrainis working in the field of nursing.
In the academic field in higher education institutions, the proportion of Bahraini women reaches 57 % . And yes, there are areas in which women have not yet achieved complete sweeping, such as what she achieved in the areas mentioned above, but they remain limited and I do not think that she will be too late in being more intense in them. Things are ready for them and are in their interest.
Also, the past years have proven that the council can change the equations and make them for the benefit of women and with overwhelming excellence. Thus, the Supreme Council for Women becomes an example to implement support and empowerment policies.
His success in reaching goals is a model of institutional work that is able to bring about a change in concepts and ideas in society. Today, as note, society has become more understanding of women’s work and more acceptable for her scientific and functional superiority, but rather has become a supporter of her and her successes. Undoubtedly, thanks to this institution, which stood behind the woman with all its weight and experience, Bahraini women were able to overcome the challenges and achieve a brilliant superiority.
