Autism expert shared a group of common signs of autism in girls, which differ greatly from the symptoms that are usually observed in boys, and these signs include social camouflage, extreme attention to people instead of things, and sensory sensitivities that may be understood as concern.
According to the Daily Mirror newspaper, unlike the children with autism who may show clear social difficulties, often girls notice and imitate the social behaviors of their peers carefully, preserve texts of the conversations, or imitate facial expressions and gestures
The intense focus on people instead of things
While boys with autism often focus on technical objects or systems, girls may develop very interest in people, characters or social interactions. The girl may be fascinated by fictional characters, celebrities, or even classmates, so that extensive information about them and discuss them in great detail.
Excessive anxiety
Girls with autism tend to feel general anxiety or discomfort due to the texture of clothes, food textures, loud environments, or bright lights and these responses are not behavioral problems, but rather a real physical discomfort.
