The Israeli and international media are still circulating the consequences of the attack that targeted Ben -Gurion Airport, in conjunction with the landing of a civilian aircraft, which led to the closure of the airport and the suspension of flights temporarily, at a time when the Nikos Christodolides, President of the Republic of Cyprus was preparing to take off to Israel, before the visit was postponed due to security developments.

Bombing

The Israel Airports Authority confirmed that the missile fell on the airport land during the landing process, without clarifying whether or not the targeted plane was damaged.

For its part, the Yemeni Houthi group claimed responsibility for the attack, and the military spokesman confirmed the implementation of a precise military operation targeting Ben -Gurion Airport in the Jaffa area, warning international airlines to head to the airport, describing it as unsafe, confirming the flight of 3,000 people to the shelters.

In the aftermath of the attack, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu called for urgent security consultations this evening, to discuss the response to what Tel Aviv described as a dangerous escalation, while the Israeli Broadcasting Corporation quoted security sources that the Israeli response would be strong.

This attack comes hours after 8 people were injured as a result of a missile in the airport, which prompted many international airlines to cancel their flights to Israel, headed by German Lufthansa and companies from Switzerland, Austria and Australia.
