Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Health and Population, signed a memorandum of understanding between the Ministry and the Ministry of Health in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, to cooperate in the face of a number of joint health challenges, in accordance with the laws and regulations in force in the two countries, as part of the program of visiting Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia from 3-4 May 2025.

Dr. Hossam Abdel Ghaffar, the official spokesman of the Ministry of Health and Population, explained that the Memorandum of Understanding provides for enhancing cooperation in a number of health fields that include (public health programs and epidemics, treatment services and virtual medicine, health insurance and successful experiences, electronic health applications and modern health technologies, accreditation of facilities and health control, exchanging experiences regarding patient safety, investment in the health field, promoting human resources in the health field, cooperation, cooperation In the field of disaster management and health crises, exchanging experiences and building guidelines and proof -based practices in the treatment fields, working to unify positions in regional and international issues related to health, especially in the field of international health regulations), in addition to exchanging information on health legislation between the two countries.
And “Abdul Ghaffar” continued that the memorandum of understanding included the exchange of joint experiences in the fields of pharmaceutical care through (clinical pharmacy and pharmaceutical information centers, pharmaceutical safety and pharmaceutical sponsorship quality, pharmaceutical surveillance systems for antimicrobials and rational use of antimicrobials and good use, virtual pharmacy and distance pharmacy).
“Abdel Ghaffar” added that the memorandum of understanding includes cooperation in a number of axes, foremost of which is the exchange of information and expertise in the health fields, the exchange of visits between experts and specialists, and the organization of conferences, seminars and work sessions, noting the formation of a joint work team that includes specialists from both sides to activate the fields stipulated in the memo and prepare the executive plan for them, as well as the formation of teams and sub -work committees as needed.
