Dr. Salama Jumaa Dawood, President of Al -Azhar University, received today, Saturday, a high -ranking delegation headed by Dr. Fouad Bawazir, Personal Adviser to the President of the Republic of Indonesia, former Minister of Finance Al -Azhar University of Indonesian.
This came in the presence of Dr. Ramadan Al -Sawy, Vice President of the Lower Egypt, Dr. Sayed Bakri, Vice President of the University for Education and Student Affairs, Mohamed Abdel -Khalek, Secretary -General of the University, and Osama Al -Dakan, Director General of Scientific and Cultural Relations at the University.
Advisor to the President of Indonesia: Al -Azhar Egypt has a great place in the hearts of the Indonesian people
The President of the University welcomed the Indonesian delegation at Al -Azhar University, stressing the depth, strength and durability of the relations between the Egyptian and Indonesian peoples, pointing out that the visit of the Indonesian President Prabo Sobanto during the month of December 2024 confirmed this.
And the appreciation of the Indonesian President’s support for cooperation with Al -Azhar, and praised the efforts of the Peace Foundation in the Indonesian worlds for its role and support in the care of Indonesian students at Al -Azhar University, and he also called for the late Minister Shafduddin Campo to be the charitable works he did towards the care of students of science in the balance of his good deeds, asking the Lord – Glory be to Him – to shroud him with the mercy of his mercy The martyrs and the righteous and the good of those companions.
The President of the University pointed out that the number of students at Al -Azhar University is 30 thousand students from more than 100 countries around the world, pointing out that half of these students from Indonesia, adding that Indonesia students are distinguished by their keenness to seek knowledge, declaring the university’s welcome to cooperate with all educational institutions in Indonesia after fulfilling the required.
The President of the University added that what he saw during his recent visit to Indonesia at the Zaki Institute confirms that it is a real extension of the honorable Al -Azhar with his moderate central approach by ensuring the student from joining it until graduating from it.
For his part, Dr. Fouad Bawazir, Advisor to the Indonesian President, affirmed that Egypt Al -Azhar has a great place in the hearts of the Indonesian people, Al -Azhar University Manarat Al -Alam and the kiss of moderation.
Bawazir expressed his happiness with the care that Al -Azhar attaches to the students of Indonesia, as he expressed his happiness with what he heard that Indonesia students represent 50% of the total number of students who are studying at Al -Azhar University, and Bawazir thanked and appreciated Al -Azhar University for this care for the people of Indonesia.
The advisor to the Indonesian President of the Indonesian called for more cooperation with the Al -Azhar Foundation and its university headed by the Grand Imam, Dr. Ahmed Al -Tayeb, Sheikh of Al -Azhar, as a kiss for science and a Kaaba for scientists from all over the world, and at the end of the visit, Nizar Mashhadi handed over a documented report on his recent visit to Indonesia.
