Badr Abdel -Ati, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Immigration, condemned the Israeli raid on the area adjacent to the Presidential Palace in Damascus, in a new violation of Syrian sovereignty and the integrity and integrity of its territory, warning of the dire risks of Israeli policies in the region, which causes the regional situation fueling.
This came during the meeting of the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Immigration today, with the directors of the United Nations Regional offices in Cairo, in which the partnership between Egypt and the United Nations Organization valued the partnership between Egypt and the UN Organization, stressing the Egyptian government’s keenness to provide all means of support to the international offices in Cairo and the programs and activities that are implementing them.
The meeting dealt with ways to enhance the role of international organizations and agencies in Egypt in light of the current regional and international challenges, and how to achieve harmony between the work of organizations and the sustainability of their work.
He also touched on the importance of the role of international organizations in supporting the developmental priorities of the Egyptian government, foremost of which is the issue of water scarcity and the rational management of water resources, technical and vocational education and education, and enhancing the use of technology for education purposes, and other priorities covered by “Egypt Vision 2023”.
Minister Abdel -Ati affirmed Egypt’s keenness to adhere to the principles of the United Nations Charter, reviewing the pioneering role that Egypt played under the umbrella of the international organization and its main devices over decades, in a reflection of the firm belief that action is multi -party is the best way to keep pace with the current international challenges.
The importance of the presence of regional offices in Egypt

The Foreign Minister stressed Egypt’s deep appreciation of the wise leadership of “Antonio Guterres”, Secretary -General of the United Nations, expressing Egypt’s appreciation to support the Secretary -General of the Arab -Islamic plan for the reconstruction of Gaza, which includes urgent measures for humanitarian relief and early recovery, and the reconstruction of the presence of the Palestinians on their land, pointing to the ongoing contacts that Egypt is making with the United Nations to prepare for an international conference to support the plan.
Minister Abdel -Ati condemned the Israeli policies aimed at undermining the humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip by deliberately preventing the entry of humanitarian aid to the sector for more than two months and using starvation as a systematic policy and a tool for collective punishment.
The Foreign Minister reaffirmed Egypt’s firm position that the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestinian Refugees “UNRWA” is indispensable, and it cannot be replaced under the current circumstances.
The meeting also witnessed an interactive dialogue between the Minister of Foreign Affairs and the directors of the United Nations Regional Office in Cairo, where Minister Abdel -Ati listened to the directors of the United Nations offices concerned with humanitarian relief on their extreme concern for the catastrophic humanitarian situation in Gaza and the vacuum of stores, food enforcement and pharmaceutical warehouses, in addition to the challenges related to financing their activities in connection with the developments taking place in the international arena.
