D. Suhair bint Sanad Al -Muhannadi
It was not only a fire … it was a naked moment of everything, a moment when firewood, iron and walls flared up, and my heart flared up with it.
In a house I thought about a fortress, the fire devoured the angle of safety, and the air was filled with a whistle of danger, no time to think, there is no room for retreat, nor a sound above a flame that climbs the walls rudely.
Amidst this amazing scene, I shouted as I did not cry before, alone, in the crowding of smoke, I am looking for a way out, for a rescue, for a life that does not burn, there were no neighbors in the neighborhood, the homes are empty at that moment, but my screaming came out as a humanitarian, and he does not need a language, after which the feet come from where I do not know: women, men, citizens, residents, and even foreign communities that were The neighborhood, they all stood in front of the fire as if they were the people of one house.
What they carried was not merely water, but fulfillment, and a Bahraini human instinct that does not disappoint.
When the civil defense teams arrived, I felt for the first time that the minutes that passed were emery, but the moment of their presence reduced everything, they moved with a high professional skill, as if they were training time for obedience, followed by the ambulance, and the Ministry of Electricity, which stopped the feeding of the house as an immediate precaution, feared the remaining possibilities Her awareness of the smallest details, and her silent keenness on the lives of people.
But what dazzled me more, is after the fire ..
The security authorities did not close the file when the fire was extinguished.
From the flames, I came out lessons that I did not understand in theory.
One of the burning cars was returning to my brother Salman, and inside it a sum of money related to him, we thought he was lost, but the security authorities guided us to easy and simple measures through the central bank, allowing the restoration of value based on accurate statements, the matter was not only financial, but a message that the state is thinking even in your rights amid chaos.
It is true that Bahrain has a respectable awareness system in the field of home safety and fire control, but the experience has proven to me that dread, surprise, and the circumstances of the moment may make us forget everything we learned, and here the need to shift from theoretical awareness to practical awareness, we need programs that offer real, realistic, honest experiences, learning people how to behave, not only how They avoid the danger.
But more than that, it is time for a law to be entitled to each house to possess basic safety tools: fire extinguisher, alarm, ambulance, and a clear mechanism for behavior when the absence of contact with civil defense, because the danger does not wait, and the fire does not ask permission.
Today, as long as we live in the era of digital transformation, and we invest in the techniques of artificial intelligence in various areas of life, so why does security and safety not have a share of this intelligence? Cameras are also spread throughout Bahrain to monitor roads and facilities, which can – realistically and possible – can publish smart sensors and thermal warnings automatically linked to civil defense systems, monitor high temperatures or smoke escalating and initiate immediate reporting without human intervention, that is not a technical luxury, but a national necessity that every home will be surrounded by smart eyes guarding even in the absence of its owners, The preference of the lead in tackling before the fire is intense.
The integration of artificial intelligence in the civil security system reflects the sustainability of Bahraini thought in development, and transforms safety from individual responsibility into an integrated, protective national system, which is not satisfied with the reaction, but rather anticipates the danger and extinguishes it before it is born. Ashes are only a story of a common championship between man and order. This country, “the oud house,” does not only embrace a people, but also makes behavior, conscience and collective responsibility, and from the heart of the flame I came out not only with a survival, but with the story of a homeland that mastered the protection of its people, guarded their details, and gives them a security that extends even after the emergency.
