The Cairo Al -Azhar region achieved a distinguished scientific achievement in the 2025 physics competition, where the student, Abdullah Muhammad Hanafi Nabih, in front of the Mashreq Al -Azhar Institute, in the secondary stage, on the laser and its applications, won the second place in the competition organized by the National Committee of Physics of the Academy of Scientific Research and Technology.
Cairo Al -Azhar is ranked second in the physics competition at the level of the Republic in the secondary stage.
The competition witnessed a wide participation of students in the various educational levels: preparatory, secondary, and university, in a scientific framework aimed at promoting scientific research and developing physical knowledge of students.
In this context, His Eminence Sheikh Fawaz Abadi, Head of the Central Administration of the Cairo Al -Azhar region, congratulated the student and the student’s family and congratulate them, and Nasr Al -Din Abdel -Jalil, the cultural agent in the region.
Sheikh Fawaz Abadi expressed his happiness at the distinguished level that presented the student, wishing him more success and excellence, as he thanked and appreciated the director of the bright tomorrow’s institute, and all the employees of the institute for their continuous support for students, which contributed to achieving this success.
On the other hand, the Grand Imam, Dr. Ahmed Al -Tayeb, Sheikh of Al -Azhar Al -Sharif, received the sheikh of Al -Azhar, Ross Gallicandra, Deputy Foreign Minister of the Kingdom of Thailand, in the presence of Tanawat Cyricole, the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand in Egypt, and the accompanying delegation to discuss ways to enhance joint cooperation.
The Sheikh of Al -Azhar affirmed the depth of the relations that link Al -Azhar to the Kingdom of Thailand, noting that the memories of his recent visit to the Kingdom of Thailand are still stuck in his mind because of what he found from the generosity of hospitality, good reception and the feelings of warm brotherhood, especially during the meeting of His Majesty the King of Thailand and his wife, pointing out that Al -Azhar is happy to receive more than 3100 Thailand students studying in various educational stages Al -Azhar, Al -Azhar provides 160 scholarships annually to the children of Muslims in Thailand to enroll in Al -Azhar education, in addition to that there are 133 institutes in Thailand whose certificate was equivalent according to Al -Azhar certificate.
