The Director of the Damascus Country Security Directorate, Lt. Col. Hossam Al -Tahan, announced that an agreement was reached on the city of Jaramana between representatives of the Syrian government and the dignitaries of the city of Jermana.
Al -Tahan said: “An agreement on the city of Jaramana between representatives of the Syrian government and the dignitaries of the city of Jermana stipulates that heavy weapon is delivered immediately, and the increase in the deployment of the public security administration in the city to consolidate stability and the return of life to normal.”
He added: “The agreement between representatives of the Syrian government and the dignitaries of the city of Jaramana also stipulates the delivery of unlicensed individual weapons after a specific period of time, and to limit the weapon in the hands of the official state institutions.”
He continued: “The agreement provides for the deployment of forces from the Syrian Ministry of Defense on the outskirts of the city of Jaramana to secure it.”
The Progressive Socialist Party stated in the statement: “As a result of the contacts that took place with the Syrian state and with other parties, an agreement was reached between the Syrian administration and the people of Jermana on peaceful arrangements that address the problems that occur and the seeds of sedition are removed.”
He added: “As we thank all those who contributed to reaching this agreement, we hope all the concerned parties to abide by in order to restore calm and stability to the region.”
