The National Security Adviser is one of the most influential positions in the White House, a position appointed by the president, and does not need to be certified by the Senate.
The National Security Adviser is coordinating between all national security agencies, and he is charged with surrounding the president on these matters and implementing his policies.
Waltz, a former Republican member of the House of Representatives for the state of Florida, who is 51 years old, was subjected to great criticism inside and outside the White House, after he was involved in a scandal related to leaking a conversation through the “Signal” application last March, among the major Trump assistants for national security.
