Abdullah bin Adel Fakhro, Minister of Industry and Trade, presided over the delegation of the Kingdom of Bahrain at the 68th meeting of the Commercial Cooperation and Meeting Committee 54 of the Industrial Cooperation Committee for the Cooperation Council countries for the Arab Gulf states in the sisterly State of Kuwait, in the presence of Jassim Mohammed Al -Badawi, Secretary -General of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf and the Ministers of Trade and Industry in the Cooperation Council states.
The meetings of the commercial and industrial committees included discussing the topics listed on the agenda of the developments of free trade agreements between the countries of the Cooperation Council and global economic blocs, in addition to initiatives to support Gulf entrepreneurs and enhance their presence in regional and global markets. The unified Gulf projects and laws were also reviewed, and the developments of the criteria for defining the Gulf national product and the proposed policies to support and protect the Gulf industries, in addition to the supportive initiatives to enhance the competitiveness of the industrial sector, the council’s schedule and the mechanism of stimulating advanced and sustainable manufacturing.
Abdullah bin Adel Fakhro, Minister of Industry and Trade, participated during the visit in the periods of the periodic consultative meeting between the Excellencies and Excellency the Ministers of Trade and Industry in the Gulf Cooperation Council states, and those with happiness, heads of unions and chambers of commerce in the Gulf Cooperation Council states, and in the works of the fifth consultative meeting between the ministers of trade and industry in the GCC countries and a group of entrepreneurs in the Gulf Cooperation Council countries, and the ceremony honoring the Gulf inventors that were held on the sidelines of the meetings.
