“Representatives” refuses to amend the “labor market” to achieve its goals

The House of Representatives rejected a draft law to amend some provisions of the Labor Law in the private sector issued by Law No. 36 of 2012, which includes granting the employer a time period of 30 days to renew the work permit, to avoid the punishment prescribed under Article 36 of the Labor Market Regulatory Law. MP Muhammad Al -Marafi said: The decree did not cancel the fines, and ultimately pay the employer, the fine is unacceptable and the project made a long time, and it must be passed. The services rejected that its goals were achieved through Decree Law No. 12 of 2024 regarding the amendment of Article 40 of the Labor Market Regulatory Law that the House of Representatives had previously approved in the twelfth regular session, as it dealt with the desired goals of the proposed project in a more flexible and realistic way, and in a way that achieves a balance between supporting business owners and committing to the law.
