The Ministry of Health and Population called on parents the need to immediately go to the specialist doctor in the event of the symptoms of spring ophthalmology on children, warning against washing the eyes or wearing sunglasses without medical advice.

The ministry explained that the symptoms of spring ophthalmia include: heartburn, heavy tears, apparent redness, sticky and rubber secretions from the eye, in addition to a feeling of scratching and continuous itching.
“Health” stressed that early medical dealings with the symptoms of spring ophthalmia contribute to protecting the eyes from complications, stressing the importance of following medical instructions and not relying on home remedies or personal jurisprudence.
Meanwhile, Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Health and Population, stressed that those recovering from cancer represent an inspiring model in patience and will, and they teach everyone the meaning of real life, this came during his speech in the activities of the workshop on Egypt’s role in joining the global initiative of children’s cancer.
Abdel Ghaffar pointed out that Egypt is facing great challenges in treating children’s cancer, explaining that there are a large number of children with less than treatment opportunities, in addition to the presence of waiting lists for treatment, considering that the costs of treatment are very high.
The minister pointed out that the ministry aims to expand the number of a family designated for the treatment of children’s cancer, as well as accelerating the pace of diagnosis and treatment to ensure the provision of care at the appropriate time.
