In a world that is bored with wars and crises, we no longer have luxury to ignore the sparks of conflicts before they turn into major fires. This is what comes to mind, and we are following with great concern the new crisis between India and Pakistan, after the terrorist attack that took place in the “Bagham” area and the lives of 26 tourists. A tragic event, which is not different from the scenes of absurd wars that drained the world years ago, but this time carries a double danger, the ends of which are two nuclear states!
It is painful to see accusations flying like arrows, as India was convinced that terrorist groups were launched from Pakistan behind this bloody act, and the political and military escalation began to take a dangerous curve .. Here we must stop to ask, is it an interest for India or Pakistan to erupt a war between them now?! Who is the true beneficiary of the area’s ignition?!
When we contemplate the scene deeply, we will find that it goes beyond the borders of India, Kashmir and Pakistan. The world that began to be prepared to take his breath with signs near the end of the Russian -Ukrainian war, it seems that there are those who do not want him to rest, a third party? Multiple ends? Certainly, there are those who feed on the continuation of chaos and conflicts.
In order not to appear ideal in the midst of this complex reality, we must remind ourselves with unjust facts, India, its agricultural and economic weight, a major source of many food commodities for the Arab world, and the Gulf in particular. Pakistan, in turn, represents a basic food security pillar for many of our Gulf countries. Any war – even if it was traditional – will bring tremendous destruction, not only on India and Pakistan, but will inflame prices globally, and to exacerbate food and energy crises in our region and the world. So what if we were slipping into the use of nuclear weapons, not God?!
Our humanity, before our interests, refuses to be lost the lives of hundreds of thousands of people in a war in which only a profit is destroyed. Therefore, a real rational role must have been necessary .. The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia came as usual, to move its weight and position, as the Saudi Foreign Minister, His Highness Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud, made direct contacts with the foreign ministers of India and Pakistan, calling for calm and self -control, and stressing that the two countries are close to the Kingdom. It burns you directly, so you will receive her suffocating heat wherever you are!
There is no sane person or a conscience who can stand spectators on the crises of the world as they expand. And if our hearts call for peace, our actions and our support for good initiatives must be a real reflection of this conviction. The world needs today to overcome the voice of wisdom over the weapon … and that everyone joins, countries and peoples, to extinguish the fire of crises before they borrow more.
The most important question is, does the world need wars? Let us believe that the efforts made by Saudi Arabia, or any country seeking peace, are not just a cold diplomacy, but rather a message of hope to save the remainder of the humanity of this world.
