The prices of Hajj campaigns in Bahrain have witnessed a remarkable increase in recent years, ranging between 1490 and 6500 Bahraini dinars for the 2025 season, according to the quality of the services provided. Despite this increase in prices, the number of pilgrims in Bahrain continued to rise gradually, as 2014 in Bahrain recorded 3,700 pilgrims, then the number rose to 4625 pilgrims in 2019.
With the repercussions of the Corona, it decreased to 1,600 pilgrims in 2020 and 2021 due to the health restrictions imposed by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, which excluded the elderly and chronic diseases from the performance of the duty.
In 2022, the number rose to 2094 pilgrims, returning to 4,625 pilgrims in 2023 and 2024.
As for the 2025 season, Bahrain witnessed the registration of 14,000 electronic requests to perform the Hajj rituals, which reflects the increasing interest in the pilgrimage, and 98% of the applicants who intend to perform the duty for the first time were.
However, the Bahrain quota remained fixed at 4,625 pilgrims, which means that there is a great competition for registration, while reducing the cadres accompanying pilgrims in some campaigns to only two people.
Prices vary significantly according to the quality of the services provided, as some campaigns display multiple bouquets that include the VIP package, businessman package, family package, and youth package.
The price of the campaign is determined based on several factors such as the type of room “individual, bilateral, or quadruple”, the place of travel “Bahrain or Dammam Airport”, the luxury of hotels, in addition to the services provided in terms of transportation, transportation and foods.
The high prices are due to several factors, including the high housing prices in Mecca and Medina, and the provision of qualitative services for pilgrims such as luxury transportation and modern facilities. Additional fees were also imposed on transportation, insurance and health services.
On the other hand, Bahrain is expected to witness more improvements in organizing Hajj in the coming years, thanks to the electronic registration through the electronic pilgrimage platform that facilitated the application and follow -up of requests.
