In the context of the continuous concern of the General Secretariat of the House of Representatives to develop its employees and raise their competencies in line with the nature of parliamentary work, the general secretariat members participated in a number of training courses during the period from 20-24 April, which came in cooperation with a number of competent authorities.
In this context, the Bahraini Red Crescent Society presented, over a period of two days, a workshop on international humanitarian law, which addresses a detailed explanation on international humanitarian law and its principles, the foundations of the use of force in armed conflicts under international humanitarian law, the identification of groups and notables protected by this law, and the mechanism of keeping pace with the agreements of international humanitarian law.
In cooperation with the Institute of Judicial and Legal Studies, a workshop entitled “The Legal Framework for the Protection of Copyright in the Kingdom of Bahrain” was implemented, which highlighted the author’s intellectual property law, and the foundations and principles of applying this law in force in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
These workshops and training courses come with the aim of developing the affiliated cadres of the General Secretariat of the House of Representatives, improving the job level and expanding their information and knowledge base, which is reflected in raising their level of experiences in line with the nature of the legislative and supervisory parliamentary work in the House of Representatives.
