A Turkish broadcaster provokes the audience’s sympathy for her cohesion during the earthquake (video)

At an exceptional moment, the CNN Türk broadcaster, Melt Bozbioglu, continued to present the news bulletin directly on the air despite a violent earthquake that rocked Istanbul with a capacity of 6.2 on the Richter scale, on Wednesday, April 23.

The anchor appeared in circulating footage as she was trying to hold together and raised her hand to calm herself, while the equipment around her began to shake inside the studio.

“Can you get to my mother and contact her?” Told one of the producers. “What sparked widespread sympathy among the audience.

And the earthquake, which lasted 13 seconds, according to what Turkish Interior Minister Ali Yerli Kaya announced, the latest panic inside the studios and in the city’s streets, amid attempts by residents to flee to open places. The earthquake was followed by more than 50 bounces, some of which reached 5.9 degrees.

The earthquake resulted in the injury of at least 150 people, according to a statement issued by the Istanbul Governor’s office, which explained that the injuries resulted from panic and jumping from high places.

After the earthquake, many Istanbul residents rushed to leave the homes, and some gathered in the public squares, while others resorted to erecting tents for fear of subsequent tremors.

In his first comment, President Recep Tayyip Erdogan reassured the citizens, stressing that there is no serious damage to the moment, and he said during an official event on the occasion of “National Sovereignty and Children’s Day”: “We ask God to protect our country and our people from all disasters and calamities.”
