Syrian President Ahmed Al -Sharaa offered his condolences to the Roman Catholic community on the death of Pope Francis.
Al -Shara said in a statement published by the Syrian presidency: “I extend my condolences to the Roman community for the departure of Pope Francis, over the years. Pope Francis stood by the Syrian people in the darkest times, and continuously raised his voice against the violence and injustice that targeted the Syrian people.
