The National Meteorological Center received a high -ranking delegation from the People’s Republic of China, headed by Dr. Chen Junlin, Chairman of the Chinese Meteorological Authority and the permanent representative of China to the World Meteorological Organization (WMO), at the center’s headquarters in Abu Dhabi. Dr. Abdullah Al -Mandous, Director General of the Center and Head of the World Meteorological Organization, stressed the importance of this meeting in the remaining climatic challenges and the urgent need for international cooperation, the durability of the partnership between the center and the Chinese Meteorological Authority, and the future visions of the two sides match, pointing out that this type of cooperation is an urgent necessity, especially with the escalation of climate risks worldwide.
