Local product .. solution Al Watan newspaper

In a time when economic options have become a reflection of positions, the local product is no longer just an alternative, but rather turned into an expression of awareness and affiliation, and it can sometimes be translated as silent resistance. Among the messages that caught me recently, a short clip of a Bahraini young woman via the Instagram platform, in which she said: “If you are able to boycott, boycott. But do not hesitate to support the local product. And if you cannot completely boycott, at least try to reduce the lover of the two loved ones. ” A brief message, but it shortens a deep shift in the behavior of the Arab consumer.

The local alternative is not only compensation for the missing, but an opportunity to restore the relationship with what we produce and make with our hands. Bahraini, Saudi, Jordanian, Tunisian and other Arab products are not just goods, but are tales of fatigue, hope projects, and an expression of rooted identity.

However, the responsibility for the success of this transformation does not occur to the consumer alone, but rather extends to the owners of projects and small and medium enterprises. What is required is not only that the product be integrated with “made in my country”, but rather is characterized by concrete quality, a competitive price, and a commercial identity capable of gaining consumer confidence and admiration and more than that his loyalty and support.

On the other hand, we noticed some rushing towards alternatives that were promoted as a supporter of the issue, so that it became clear that it is imported from markets that are not concluded in any way. This confirms our need to raise awareness and enable the Arab consumer to distinguish between empty slogans and real support.

Supporting the local product is not an invitation to closure, but a conscious step towards deeper contentment, and promoting an Arab national economy that deserves confidence. Perhaps it is the beginning of a new Arab path, in which we cultivate the seeds of sufficiency, and we reap a dignity that is not bought.
