Our national team and Al -Riffa Club Abbas Al -Asfour began a lengthy program for physiotherapy at the Sbitar Hospital in the Qatari capital, Doha, as part of the rehabilitation phase that he underwent after the surgery he performed in Bahrain, after the muscular injury that was suffered during warmth before the match of our team against Australia last November, within the Asian qualifiers for the 2026 World Cup.
The bird had sudden pain during the warm -up, to be excluded from the match, before undergoing accurate tests that revealed a muscle rupture that necessitated surgical intervention in Bahrain. After the operation, the player started the rehabilitation phase in Sbitar, known for his specialization in sports medicine at a global level.
The player is currently undergoing physiotherapy and kinetic rehabilitation sessions under the supervision of a group of specialists, with a timetable aimed at enabling him to return to the stadiums and with the highest physical readiness, and it is expected that the official return will be early next season.
Abbas Al -Asfour said in a special statement: “The injury came at a sensitive time, and I was looking to appear distinctively with the team in the qualifiers and the Gulf Cup, but this is football, today I am in Square working seriously with the medical team to achieve complete recovery, I have great confidence that I will return stronger, and I thank everyone who stood beside me in the last period, and support them gives me positive energy daily to work hard to return
