The dollar fell in Asian transactions today, Monday, with investor confidence declining due to President Donald Trump’s plans to restructure the Federal Reserve (US Central Bank).
The dollar index, which measures the US currency against a basket of other major currencies, decreased to the lowest level in three years at 98.623 dollars.
The dollar fell by 0.9 percent against the Swiss franc to record 0.8119, and it fell against Elie Elly Eli 0.58 percent to 141.40 yen.
The euro recorded the highest level in three years at 1.1476 dollars, while the pound reached its peak and recorded $ 1.3339, its highest level since the beginning of October.
The Australian dollar also recorded its highest level in two months at 0.6396 dollars, and the New Zealand dollar rose 0.46 percent, reaching $ 0.5964.
The Chinese yuan rose about 0.1 percent to 7.2966 for the dollar.
The cryptocurrency “Bitcoin” increased more than two percent to 86.838 dollars.
