The Lebanese artist Fadel Shaker has highlighted the judicial files suspended against him before the Lebanese Military Court, after his first comment, on Friday, the ruling of the innocence issued in his favor.
He explained that this ruling dates back to the year 2018, and not new, as some media circulated, which raised questions with his fans about other issues that are still open.
Abra events
In a post on his official page on “Facebook”, Shaker said that the military court issued a ruling in absentia in his innocence in what is known as “Abra’s events”, explaining that the judiciary unanimously decided to prevent him from trying in the case of fighting with the Lebanese army, for not participating in the battle in the first place.
However, the Lebanese artist indicated that there are other files that are still open to the judiciary, related to charges of “interfering in terrorist acts, money laundering, and disturbing Lebanon’s links with a sister country,” stressing that the rulings issued on them were absent “without listening to him, or granting him the right to defend himself,” as he put it.
Fabricated issues
Shaker stressed that he is still waiting for the word separation from the judiciary in these cases, which he described as “fabricated”, warning of the circulation of inaccurate information, and thanked all those who solidarity with him.
Fadel Shaker’s comment came days after his son Mohamed, who said that the ruling on his father’s innocence of the fight against the army was issued since 2018, but the Lebanese media did not highlight it at the time, he said.
It is noteworthy that the legal controversy coincided with the approach of the presentation of the documentary drama “Ya Ghaib”, which deals with the life of Fadel Shaker, which is scheduled to be broadcast tomorrow, Sunday, on the “witness” platform of the MBC group.
