Dr. Osama Abdel -Hay, Captain of the Doctors, received the responsibility of implementing the decision of the Disciplinary Committee to stop Dr. Joudeh Awad from practicing the profession for a year, to the Free Treatment Department at the Ministry of Health, but the ministry has not received an official notification from the union regarding the decision until now, according to an official source in the Ministry of Health in a statement to Cairo 24.

Dr. Osama Abdel -Hay, in a post on his Facebook page, stressed his follow -up to implement the decision, saying: “The important thing is that the implementation of the ruling after it becomes firm, is the responsibility of the Free Treatment Department and the executive bodies, and we will continue to follow up, God willing.”
The suspension decision results in the suspension of the license to practice the profession issued by the Ministry of Health, and prevent the doctor from practicing activity within his own clinic or anywhere in the Republic, according to what Dr. Hossam Abdel Ghaffar, the spokesperson for the Ministry of Health, stated during a television intervention.

An official source in the ministry – who asked not to be named – explained that the Free Treatment Department had previously closed the clinic of Dr. Joudeh Awad more than once due to violations related to licensing and health requirements, and it was referred every time to the Committee for the Ethics of the Profession of the General Syndicate of Doctors to investigate.
The source pointed out that this is the first time that the Medical Syndicate has taken disciplinary measures, by stopping the doctor, Awad’s quality, from practicing activity for a year.

For his part, Dr. Jouda Awad announced that he will appeal to the decision of the Disciplinary Committee Doctors Syndicate, The judge stopped him from practicing the profession for a year, against the backdrop of complaints filed against him to the union.
Dr. Jouda Awad added, to Cairo 24, He has not yet received any official notification from the Disciplinary Committee of the results of the investigations that had been conducted with him last Thursday, noting that he learned of the decision through the media like other citizens.
