The Customs Air Ports Authority Department managed to arrest a person with an Asian nationality (24 years) for his attempt to smuggle 5.95 kilograms of narcotic substances worth about 90,000 dinars, through the Bahrain International Airport port.
The administration indicated that customs officers suspected a traveler upon arrival at the airport, and immediately he was transferred to the red track, and by searching his luggage, narcotic substances were found inside 4 parcels hidden below the bag in a professional way.
The Air Ports Customs Administration indicated that the seizures were seized, and the case was handed over to the drug control department of the General Department of Investigations and Criminal Evidence, which managed to arrest the second suspect (23 years) and hold Asian nationality inside the country for his involvement in the case.
The drug control department said that the necessary legal measures were taken and the case was referred to the Public Prosecution.
