The Bahraini Engineers Association held its annual public association meeting at its headquarters in Al -Jafir on Tuesday evening, April 15th, as the association’s elections resulted in the victory of four members of the board of directors for its next session 2025-2027.
The association called for the meeting on Sunday, April 6, and the lack of the quorum was postponed until seven o’clock on April 15, and for the lack of the quorum as well, it was also postponed for half an hour in accordance with the statute, as the meeting became correct in the presence of at least 10% of the members who are entitled to vote in the elections, where the number of voters reached 69 voters and the correct votes reached 68 votes.
The meeting of the General Assembly included a number of basic items that were presented and approved, the most prominent of which was: ratification of the agenda, approval of the minutes of the previous general assembly meeting, a speech to the president of the association, discussing the literary and financial report, and appointing a new auditor for accounts, and then electing a committee to supervise the elections and holding them to elect four new members of the Board of Directors.
For its part, Dr. Raida Al -Alawi, President of the Bahraini Engineers Association, delivered a speech at the beginning of the General Assembly and before the election, where she extended thanks and appreciation to the government of the Kingdom of Bahrain and the official authorities that continued to support the association, as well as companies and institutions that support its activities and activities, praising the efforts of the members of the Board of Directors and all members of the working committees and the engineering people of the association and volunteers, and its job staff, expressing She praised the achievements achieved that led to the achievement of the goals and aspirations of the association thanks to these estimated efforts and dedicated and sincere work that they made throughout the last session, thanking the members who ended in the Board of Directors, who are Dr. Adnan Al -Tamimi, Vice -President of the Association, and Eng. Amer Rajab, Director of Training in the last session, welcoming the new members of the Board of Directors.
This, and the association had approved the names of five of the candidates to occupy four of the seats of the Board of Directors for the next session, as the elections resulted in the victory of Eng. Habib Hussein al -Jabouri, Engineer Jaafar Muhammad Ali, Engineer Ali Al -Qattan and Engineer Badr Salmin, membership of the association’s board of directors, and Eng. Majid Sharaf as a reserve member.
After the meeting of the General Assembly, the Board of Directors held its first meeting chaired by Dr. Raida Al -Alawi, the president of the association, and during the meeting it was reshaped as follows: Engineer Hoda Sultan as Vice President, Engineer Jaafar Muhammad Ali as Secretary of Secretary of Secretary and Foreign Relations, Eng. Member Affairs, Engineer Ali Al -Qattan, Director of General Activities and Community Service, and Engineer Badr Salmin, Director of Forum and Vocational Affairs.
On this occasion, Dr. Raada Al -Alawi, President of the Bahraini Engineers Association, thanked the General Assembly for its active interest and participation and support for the association’s board of directors in order to enhance the role of the association as a leading national association and an active partner and responsible in national development in our dear country.
